Day 5


Made a mesh for the enemies today by adjusting the default Unreal Engine 4 Third Person character. You can barely recognize him!

Made several new modular mesh assets and redesigned the roof area using them. It now looks much better.

A lot of refining and development of the core gameplay loop which included: Implementing the basics for weapon and character upgrades, character death, generator death, health regeneration, gameplay prompts, scaling the difficulty on higher waves and the structure of the wave system itself with an intermission once every 3 waves.

Also added an ammo pick-up as I kept running out of ammo on the higher rounds. It gives you max ammo.

It's coming along really well and I'm proud of the work I've been able to achieve this week so far!

I wanted to focus on a gameplay style that wouldn't take long to develop but could be given lots of depth. It seems to of worked out well.
